Project Description[edit | edit source]
NOTE: Existing companies are listed for the purpose of showing examples, only. No endorsement is implied for any particular companies. Readers should investigate thoroughly before purchasing any options.
1 to 10 Watts.[edit | edit source]
- Rugged solar panel and safe battery in 1 to 10 Watt size, Warranty/guarantee to ensure the product will last long enough to pay for itself through avoided energy costs.
- Possible tools and functions to add onto mini-solar chargers with integrated battery packs:
- Adjustable stand, so that users can easily orient the mini-solar-panel to face the sun.
- Suction cups or other secure mechanisms for mounting the panel on a window (especially windows or surfaces on airplanes, boats, cars, bicycles, etc.
- Functions of multi-tools and/or Swiss Army knives (with possible TSA-friendly options for air travel).
- Pen or pencil
- Lamp/torch/headlamp function for use at night
- Compass
- Integrated jacks and plugs for charging multiple commonly used tools and appliances (e.g. cell phone charger, LED lamp charger, charge the battery using either solar from the integrated mini solar panel or from larger solar arrays, vehicle charger, or from a working power grid.
10 to 100 Watts[edit | edit source]
- Small Solar Home System scale. Power a few lamps, possibly adding one or more communications devices, a fan, etc.
100 to 1,000 Watts.[edit | edit source]
- Larger solar home system.
