Connected Sustainability Campaign
This campaign is carried out within the framework of the Connecting Sustainability for Open Knowledge project executed by the Appropedia Foundation in coordination with sustainable, human development and environmental organizations, with the aim of generating alliances that promote the construction of collaborative knowledge on open platforms.
About the campaign
We want to create an open digital gallery with sustainable practices in which your photos are the protagonists. The main objective is to collect photographic material on agricultural practices to create a sustainable gallery to provide open knowledge.
The campaign will be active from August to November 2024.
How to participate?
If you are an institution, a collaborator in an NGO or an individual and you want to share photographic material for the gallery, you can follow these steps:
- Read the form filling guide .
- Fill out the sections and upload the photos in the form .
- Send us an email to notify us of the upload, we will take care of incorporating the material into the gallery.

Open Sustainable Gallery
It will be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons , the open platform of the Wikimedia Foundation . This gallery will be available to everyone indefinitely.
All content contributed to this space will be hosted on Wikimedia Commons under the Creative Commons Share Alike 4.0 license and future updates to this license. You can learn more about this license here .
The gallery will be available at the end of the campaign in December 2024

Will I still own the photo even if I share it in the campaign?
A/ Yes, you will always remain the author of the photograph, we respect your copyright, all the photographs you share will be under the Creative Commons Share Alike 4.0 license, which allows other users to use your photo but on the condition that they always write your name in the caption to give you credit. What will they use the photos for?
A/We want to build a sustainable gallery of practices to inform, educate and ensure that the knowledge transmitted by these practices is open and accessible to everyone through open platforms such as the Wikimedia Commons of the Wikimedia Foundation. Who is driving this campaign?
A/We are promoted by Catholic Relief Services with the support of the Appropedia Foundation.
When and where can I see the gallery?
A/We will publish the link to the gallery on the Appropedia Foundation's social media. The images will be freely available to everyone.
Will I receive any compensation or remuneration for sharing my photo?
A/No, the central objective of the campaign is to build knowledge in a collaborative manner without profit motive.
