Hello. While I've helped a bit with a few non-traditional building projects, I've only utilized frame construction on my own property. But I'm open-minded and intrigued by alternative approaches.
Is there some repository of information (or some org or agency collecting info) concerning maintenance issues for such building methods as cob, bale, earth bag, and others? I'm interested to learn about durability and challenges to durability, as might roll out from year to year, with the various non-trad building methods people have been utilizing in recent decades.
My interest tends to be less in the experience under such distant climatic conditions as the tropics and more in the North American or Western European experience. Thanks for any info about this.
