3D printed bone using common polylactic acid (PLA).
Fabrication techniques[edit | edit source]
- 3D printing
- Sanding
Description: 3D printer required, design files con lower or rise realism. The fabrication of this simulator requires specific types of infill and other 3D printing settings in order to ensure the quality of the bone.
Interactions[edit | edit source]
Drilling, Sawing, Landmark identification
Description: The fidelity of this simulator will depend on the type of interaction:
- Drilling performs correctly as with the right bone density, and provides a decent fidelity response.
- Sawing is the best use of this simulator.
