Snapshot of 3D model of the portable wood gasifier stove.

  • 1: air enters trough air inlets (above charcoal layer)
  • 2: air enters trough air inlets (trough charcoal layer)
  • 3: wood is burned, hence making smoke out of the clean air, smoke is blocked by a cloud of smoke (5), and is sucked in via an open space in the middle of the gasifier stove (trough the tube in the middle)
  • 4: as the smoke passes trough the charcoal layer, it is converted to wood gas/smoke; it then travels upwards trough a side compartment
  • 5: when wood gas/smoke goes over the wall (grill's sides are closed), it needs to over the burning wood and is thus ignited (wood gas=flammable); the fumes released with this pack into a "cloud", blocking the air (3)
  • 6: the middle of the grill is open, and thus the ignited wood gas can easlity escape via the middle of the grill
