- Education: OpenCourseWare sites (or call the OCW Finder engine?), Connexions, IJSLE
- technologies (OAN, Enabling Innovations?
- active groups that have writeups, blogs etc: broader focus that may include one or all of the others and application of knowledge (EWB, ESW, Appropedia).
- highly relevant (tech oriented) blogs. WC & treehugger for a lighter custom search.
