I'm Kristopher Turner a student at Cal Poly Humboldt studying Energy Systems Engineering(ESE). I am a transfer to this university and my first semester here has been the spring semester of 2024. Prior to my time at Humboldt I was studying Environmental engineering at the University of California Riverside. I decided to transfer to Humboldt as I found myself significantly more interested in the program they offered as well as the environment of the University as a whole. I have previously worked for a non-profit known as Mighty Earth as an intern and also worked and learned many skills while working in a Plant Pathology lab at my previous campus.

Earthen Construction and Beautification Project:

I am personally very proud of the final product we delivered to our client. Both its quality and aesthetic exceeded my own, my teams, and our clients expectations and I am very happy with how it came out. Throughout the engineering 205 course I learned many collaboration and teamwork skills that I believe I can build on and utilize in my future. Next time I would hope to take on a project that would have me explore and challenge myself to new skills and knowledge. I enjoyed how different the knowledge I had to gain for this project was however I would like to next time learn information I could more easily apply to my presumed future career. I believe throughout this course I may have missed less than 2-3 lectures and no labs however those numbers could be incorrect. My total hours for the course were 75, they primarily took place working on the project and activities related to the project since that took up 54 amount of hours. I believe with the work I put in and the effort I made to truly garner new knowledge and learn and apply new skills I earned an A in this course. Overall I enjoyed this course thoroughly and truly hope to start more project due to this class. This summer and moving forward I hope to take on more projects and apply the engineering process and continue learning and building upon myself and my own skills.
