MERCEDES ORTIZ AND HIS FAMILY STORYJose Mercedes Ortiz works in his corn field where he has also planted beans for self consumption and to sell it. Mr. Mercedes is a CRS beneficiary of project A4N and Mi Cuenca and became an active community leader. He was an ex migrant that managed to raise enough money to buy lands that help his family survive. Water is abundant in this area so the crops stay healthy. His son Gerson helps him out.
